Jessica and I had a great time this weekend! I “fell” in love with Atlanta all over again. The leaves are changing and the weather is crisp. It truly felt like fall. Jessica and I are good at playing hard, eating hard, and then crashing hard at night. Tyler joined us for one of our walks and dinner both nights. He was very sweet to give us our “girl” time.
On Saturday we perused the quaint shops that line Highland Avenue where Highland and Virginia meet. Jessica loved the baby store called Green Pomegranate (she has a precious almost 9 month old baby boy). All of the clothes are made from reclaimed fabric. She could not resist buying Braver a gingerbread holiday shirt.
Then, we sauntered down to Festivity where Jessica checked off her holiday gift list with local, Atlanta made, jewelry.
This morning the three of us walked around Chastain Park. It was gorgeous! Jessica could not believe all of the things that the park has to offer. We felt energized and ready to take on the day.
After we walked, Jessica and I headed to Peachtree Yoga for some much needed stretching and relaxation. In the words of Natalie (our fabulous yoga instructor), “Yummy!”
Jessica leaves tomorrow morning. As always, we are already talking about the next time we will see each other. Maybe wine country? We even talked about a couple’s getaway to Asheville, NC or somewhere else that is new to all of us. This part of the country has so much to offer for day trips that we can’t wait to explore (and share with you).
Have you “fall”en in love with anything new lately?
